This is a beautiful art museum - the setting, the gardens, and the architecture all combine with a judicious selection of art, primarily paintings, to make for an interesting visit. They've just opened a new gallery of American Art, which more than doubles the size of the displayed collection. The life-sized Sewart sculptures are just incredible - they take you inside familiar paintings and give an unusual perspective.

I took my wedding pictures here and I was so impressed by the beauty of the gardens. Not to mention it made a great backdrop for my pictures. I would recommend this to anyone with an art bone looking for something to do. I am disapointed that I didn't get to hang around to view the wonderful art peices. I am definatly going back with my husband.

Not much interesting art going on inside. It seems more like a Disney exhibit than an art museum. But everything is well designed, and the garden is a great place to hang out. Garden is well kept and faces the river. It's a great place when there's some sort of event, like a wedding or art opening or Art Walk. They should call iit the Cummer Club or something.

the cummer museum is one of the greatest hidden gems in jacksonville. i had to go there as a class assigment in my humaities class. i thought of it as another boring trip to another museum until i saw the gardens. it is an amazing place to visit and i highly recommend going at least once if you have the chance. adults pay 6 dollars i believe, and children only pay 3 dollars.

This is such an exquisite collection, very well rounded and interesting for people with eclectic prefrences. The gardens are magnificent too; a perfect place to relax and experience a little tranquility in the hustle & bustle of daily life.
