The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens features both stunning pieces of man-made art and a surrounding atmosphere of sculpted natural beauty. Its permanent collection of art now consists of over 6,000 art works, including European and American art as well as art from antiquity and one of the world's largest collections of Meissen porcelain. Designed with a view to the past styles of England and Italy, the museum has two acres of formal gardens, where shaded walking paths and secluded nooks allow for a serene outdoor experience. The museum and gardens are located on the waterfront a few miles southwest of downtown, near Riverside Park.
